In September 1959, Super Typhoon #15—also referred to as "T5915," "Vera," or the "Isewan Typhoon"—hit Japan's coastline with wind speeds reaching 305 km/h, resulting in over 5,000 deaths or missing persons and more than 30,000 injuries. It stands as the deadliest typhoon to strike Japan in the 20th century. Three decades later, this animated film was produced to honor those who lost their lives and those who survived this devastating disaster.
