Synopsis

Deep in the uncharted depths of the dungeon, a corpse is found—one that should not exist. After being resurrected, Iarumas has no memory of his life before death, and now spends his days exploring the dungeon to retrieve the remains of fallen adventurers. Can they be brought back as well? Or will God turn them to ash on the altar? Either way, Iarumas collects his payment for the finds. While his abilities earn him a measure of reluctant respect, he is also despised for his cold, pragmatic approach. The living keep their distance—Iarumas primarily associates with the dead. That changes when he meets Garbage, a feral young swordswoman who is the only survivor of a slaughtered party. With Garbage at his side, Iarumas pushes deeper into the dungeon, searching for clues to his own past, while evading monsters, traps, and the ever-present threat of a permanent, ashen end.
