Their first obstacle is Higa Middle School, an unpredictable team from Okinawa. After observing Higa use questionable tactics to defeat their earlier opponents, Seishun's players are determined to emphasize the importance of sportsmanship and fair competition. If they succeed, they will face Hyoutei Academy in the quarterfinals, a school that previously beat Seishun during the Kanto Regionals. Hyoutei, who received a special invitation to Nationals, aims to restore their reputation and demonstrate their strength. This chapter of "The Prince of Tennis" introduces the intense Nationals, where Ryouma and his team confront both familiar and new rivals, each with distinct perspectives on tennis.

Having claimed victory in the Kansai Regionals, Shitenhouji stands as one of the tournament's strongest contenders. Adding to the challenge, every member of the Shitenhouji squad possesses abilities said to exceed those of their Seishun counterparts. The team also features Kintarou Tooyama, another "super rookie" whose power and skill rival Ryouma's own. For Seishun to have any hope of defeating the Kansai champions in this East versus West showdown, they must push their abilities to the absolute limit.
