Synopsis
On the eve of Mini Moni's second anniversary, the Mini Moni Cafe team is busy preparing a grand castle-themed cake. Mari Yaguchi leads the team, which includes baker Mika Todd and waitresses Nozomi Tsuji and Ai Kago. When a mysterious customer also named Ai Takahashi asks about the cafe's secret to making such delicious sweets, the staff cannot explain it. Determined to uncover the mystery, Ai Takahashi takes matters into her own hands by stealing some cakes, setting off a chain of unexpected events.
Background
Mini Moni the Movie: Okashi na Daibouken! is a live-action/animation hybrid movie starring the popular Morning Musume subgroup Mini Moni. Made as a way to explain Mari Yaguchi leaving the group and Ai Takahashi joining as her replacement, the majority of the movie is all-CGI with live-action beginning and ending segments filmed on green screens.
