Synopsis
48x61 is a short film created by the acclaimed director Rintaro (Astro Boy, Metropolis, ...) for manga artist and director Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira, Mushishi, ...). Produced by Studio Madhouse, the movie gets its title from the ages of its creators at the time: Rintaro was 61 and Otomo was 48. The main characters in the film are Rintarou and Katsuhiro, and the story centers on a bicycle race between the two of them.
