Culture City of East Asia 2019 Toshima

Synopsis

The Culture City of East Asia is a yearly joint initiative between the cultural ministries of Japan, China, and Korea, with one city or ward from each country chosen annually to highlight its artistic and cultural traditions. In 2019, Tokyo's Toshima ward was picked to represent Japan. Consequently, Toshima is collecting proposals, logos, public relations campaigns, school projects, and other contributions from locals and neighborhood businesses to assemble a thorough portfolio meant to increase tourism within the ward. To mark Toshima's designation as the chosen area, a rotoscoped animated short was created, presenting a young girl's perspective on the various attractions found in Toshima.
