Synopsis

In "The Anthem of the Heart," Jun Naruse is a cheerful and optimistic girl who sees life through the lens of fairy tales. Her unwavering faith in these stories makes her overly trusting and naive, leading her to accidentally reveal her father's infidelity, which tears her family apart. Blamed for causing her parents' divorce, Naruse becomes deeply hurt, and her guilt manifests as a fairy egg—a creature that seals her voice to protect others from her words. In high school, Naruse remains unable to speak due to the fairy egg's influence. Whenever she tries to talk, she experiences intense abdominal pain. Despite her silence, she is unexpectedly chosen to join a musical production with three other students: Takumi Sakagami, Natsuki Nitou, and Daiki Tasaki. Naruse plans to decline this daunting role but changes her mind after hearing Sakagami's enchanting voice. Could the fairy egg's restriction not apply to singing? Might Sakagami be the prince from the fairy tales she treasures? Can Naruse find a way to sing the song of her heart?
