Synopsis
In a world united against the alien threat of the Neuroi, young witches with magical abilities play a vital role in defense. To boost morale and turn the tide of the war, Grace Maitland Steward, a former witch still active in the military, suggests leveraging music as a key strategy. Despite her idea being initially rejected, Grace decides to prove its value by forming a specialized unit within the League of Nations Air Force. She enlists the aid of Aila Paivikki Linnamaa and Eleonore Giovanna Gassion, both accomplished singer-witches, to recruit additional members for this new Music Squadron. Their efforts result in the selection of seven talented individuals, including Virginia Robertson, a 14-year-old without military experience but possessing a unique ability that makes her an invaluable asset.

Renmei Kuugun Koukuu Mahou Ongakutai Luminous Witches was set to air in 2021, but was delayed to 2022 due to various circumstances. The series was released on Blu-ray and DVD in four volumes from October 26, 2022 to January 25, 2023.
