Synopsis
Fumizuki Academy is hardly your ordinary Japanese high school. This peculiar institution has introduced a novel and inventive system for categorizing its pupils. At the close of their first year, students sit for an examination that separates the entire student body. The top performers are assigned to A class, descending all the way to F class, reserved for the absolute lowest scorers. Regrettably for Akihisa Yoshii, his supposedly "remarkable" intellect fell short on that test, and he now finds himself stuck at the bottom in F class. Naturally, F class suffers from the worst amenities: not only rotting tatami mats and broken desks, but also obsolete equipment and worn-out furniture. On the bright side, his friend Yuuji Sakamoto shares the same class, and to everyone's astonishment, the brilliant girl Mizuki Himeji also ended up in F class due to an unforeseen fever on the day of the exam. Dissatisfied with their meager privileges, F class unites behind Yuuji, determined to challenge the higher-ranked classes and seize their perks by employing the school's Examinations Summon Battle system. This system allows participants to summon fantasy characters whose power levels correspond to their own test scores in an all-out conflict. Will F class manage to climb to the top, or will they live down to everyone's expectations and fall short?
