Synopsis
A girl named Alice wakes up inside Room 431 of a massive, constantly shifting mansion, finding herself imprisoned in a strange, nightmarish library. The estate operates on a deceptively straightforward but harsh rule: when the mansion reaches 666 rooms, a great "party" will begin, trapping its visitors forever. Resolved to prevent this fate, Alice starts a dangerous journey downward toward Room 000, the one possible way out. But the mansion actively resists her attempts to leave. As Alice moves farther from her starting room, her own physiology deteriorates—her flesh and bones horrifically morph into letters and text, causing her body to decay. While making her way through the bewildering corridors, Alice meets the warped inhabitants of other rooms. These range from a sanctimonious judge and a hopelessly aspiring musician to fictional characters unaware of their own unreal nature; each one embodies a distinct kind of mental captivity and hopelessness.
