Synopsis
A pitch-black train cuts through an endless, abstract landscape, racing toward an unknown destination. From afar, its smoke appears soft and its steady chug sounds inviting. But up close, the locomotive reveals itself as an awe-inspiring force, its thunderous roars capable of shaking the audience to the core, as it charges forward with relentless, unstoppable speed.
Background
Pop consists of various monochrome images, including cel animation and drawings. The title is a reference to the sound of a passing train, as well as pop art. The animation won the second prize at the Zagreb Film Festival in Yugoslavia in 1974.
