Synopsis

The 2008 animated anthology Indie Anibox: Selma's Protein Coffee features three imaginative short works by rising directors. Kim Woon Ki's offbeat mystery thriller "Wanted" takes place in a tranquil village that is thrown into chaos by relentless rain and the arrival of an enigmatic elderly woman named Selma. Yeon Sang Ho's 3-D animated "Love is Protein" is a clever dark comedy about three impoverished roommates who break open their savings to purchase fried chicken—only to learn that their intended meal is the son of a distraught chicken. Jang Hyung Yoon's surreal "A Coffee Vending Machine and Its Sword" follows a swordsman who is reborn as a coffee vending machine and instantly falls in love with the maintenance girl.
