Synopsis
The narrative follows the Seven Gods of Fortune from Japanese mythology as they live on Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture. In the shorts' storyline, these gods neglect their heavenly duties, prompting Susanoo-no-Mikoto to exile them to Awaji Island. To regain entry to the celestial realm, they must assist humans in finding happiness and rebuild their own virtue. These exiled deities reluctantly fulfill human wishes, earning points on their "god phones" that count toward their return to heaven. They try to perform good deeds on especially lucky days to earn points faster. However, despite their efforts to accumulate virtue, the Seven Gods of Fortune sometimes inadvertently cause misfortune for humans. When they fail, they lose points, which only lengthens their exile on Awaji Island.
