TV Yarou Nanaana: Wakuwaku Doukutsu Land
テレビ野郎 ナナーナ わくわく洞窟ランド
Synopsis
Continues the story of Wacky TV Na Na Na
Satirist Satoshi Bunbara has now designed characters that resemble bananas. Huh? TV Tokyo's banana employee "Nanana"? What does that mean? Well, actually, it's a camera crew from the impoverished TV station "Televi Nanana"—which Satoshi Bunbara took inspiration from Nanana for. They put their producer's life on the line and head into the jungle to capture a scoop shot of the legendary creature "Kina." Succeeding in filming it would be a world-first achievement! But one obstacle after another stands in their way: ferocious wild beasts, villagers who want to offer a sacrifice to a god, deep-pocketed rival TV stations, and the greatest enemy of all—the tight budget! Can they manage to photograph Kina without failure and secure high ratings? Who knows? The struggling TV station TV Nanana, with its pitifully low viewership, sends three staff members into the jungle—with no real plan or talent—to try and film the rare animal Kina.
In this installment
The second season of TV Yarou Nanaana begins. TV Na Na Na, a penniless television network, is acquired by the major streaming service Nanazon Prime Video—and the executives at Nanazon immediately start firing employees on a massive scale! Their first targets are the Expedition Team, the members who successfully filmed the legendary beast Kiina, because they have failed to create any successful shows since the Kiina incident. To escape unemployment, the director Nanaoka, cameraman Nanamori, and assistant director Nanayama launch a bold new project that larger broadcasters had invested heavily in before but failed to achieve: finding the hidden treasure of the Banakawa House and broadcasting it live on television.
