Synopsis
Emily has harbored feelings for Hasegawa, a neighbor in her apartment building, for a long time. He has always been a supportive friend, but she desires a deeper connection. When Hasegawa begins sharing his romantic frustrations with Emily, she suggests he try Virtuacall—a service that allows users to interact with an idealized partner exactly as they wish. However, this backfires as Hasegawa becomes more absorbed in Virtuacall than in her. On the verge of returning to her home country, Emily is overwhelmed by emotion and finds herself unable to confess her feelings or tell him she is leaving.
