Synopsis
Lucius Modestus, an architect from ancient Rome, is searching for work after struggling to come up with fresh ideas. His mood and outlook grow increasingly gloomy, so his friends attempt to lift his spirits by bringing him to a bathhouse to relax. Unable to find peace in the noisy, crowded bath, Lucius submerges his head underwater. There, he discovers a hidden passage that leads to a modern Japanese bathhouse, giving him the inspiration he needs to craft something new. Armed with knowledge that seems far ahead of his era, Lucius does his best to replicate what he has seen, though his results are often inferior due to the limitations of his time. Nevertheless, the sheer novelty of his creations may be enough to capture the attention of the public and restore his standing as an architect.
