Synopsis

Classroom of the Elite is set at Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, a facility that appears to be an ideal educational environment where students enjoy significant freedom and the institution holds a highly esteemed reputation across Japan. Yet, underneath this surface lies a brutal truth. The student population is separated into four classes, A through D, according to ability, with only the higher-ranked classes receiving exclusive privileges. Kiyotaka Ayanokouji is placed in Class D, the group intended for the school’s least accomplished students. He finds himself alongside Suzune Horikita, an aloof student who feels she was wrongly placed in Class D and is determined to rise to Class A, and Kikyou Kushida, a friendly classmate recognized for her popularity and her aim to befriend every person in her class. Although the initial class assignments are fixed, individual standings can be changed by outperforming students in higher classes. Moreover, Class D places no restrictions on the methods used to improve one’s position. In this ruthless academic competition, can these students overcome the odds and reach the top?
