Synopsis
In the world of Gundam Build Fighters, Gunpla—short for Gundam Plastic Models—once surged in popularity following Mobile Suit Gundam, declined, and then experienced a revival. Now, with Plavsky particles, enthusiasts can battle in a virtual reality-style arena, culminating each year in the prestigious Gunpla World Tournament. Sei Iori, whose father once reached the final round, dreams of winning the tournament. Though a skilled Gunpla builder, Sei struggles with piloting his creations in combat. Enter Reiji, a mysterious newcomer with little knowledge of the outside world but extraordinary abilities in Gunpla battles. Together, Sei and Reiji combine their talents in construction and combat, aiming to conquer the Gunpla World Tournament and transform the Gunpla community.
Background
Sunrise first announced the series under the title of "1/144 Gundam Mobile," signifying the show's Gunpla plastic model direction. High Grade kits would also be released based exclusively on the Mobile Suits appearing in the series.
