Synopsis
In a world where Japan's railway systems remain under government control, the stability of this arrangement allows the network to thrive. Naoto Takayama dreams of joining Japan National Railways for the secure and comfortable future it promises, so he enrolls in its training program—a rigorous course requiring students to prove their expertise in trains and their readiness for any situation. Along the way, Naoto meets fellow trainees: the athletic Aoi Sakura, the perpetually hungry Sho Iwaizumi, and Haruka Komi, a walking encyclopedia. Together, they must navigate their training period while dealing with purse snatchers, bomb threats, and the growing threat of the extremist "RJ" group, which seeks to privatize the railway system.
