Mary and the Witch's Flower

Synopsis

In "Mary and the Witch's Flower," Mary Smith, a clumsy redhead, struggles to adjust to her new life at her Great Aunt Charlotte's home, feeling isolated and out of place. One day, she notices a peculiar cat that constantly shifts colors. Following the feline into the forest, she stumbles upon a barren clearing with a patch of unusual blue flowers, which the estate's gardener later identifies as "Fly-by-Night." These flowers are rumored to be highly valued by witches for their potent magical properties. Later that evening, the enigmatic cat reappears, leading Mary back to the woods, where she discovers an ancient broom hidden beneath a gnarled tree. When she accidentally crushes the Fly-by-Night flowers against the broom, it begins to glow and lifts her into the air. Her erratic flight carries her to Endor College for Witches, where she is mistaken for a new student. Now, Mary must navigate this magical world, uncovering its many secrets and illusions while finding her place within it.
