Synopsis
This educational short film takes place in Meiji Era Japan, centered on the Kuzuryuu River. Communities living along its banks face repeated devastation from floods. Despite the villagers' pleas for aid, their requests are ignored. A young boy, who loses his childhood friend in one such flood, grows up determined to bring change. He begins building an embankment, sparking a community-wide effort that soon spreads to other towns along the river.
