Synopsis
One year prior to the Zentraedi's arrival on Earth, Macross Zero depicts the closing stages of the conflict between the U.N. Spacy and anti-U.N. forces. After being downed by the anti-U.N.'s cutting-edge fighter, ace pilot Shin Kudo ends up on the remote island of Mayan, which lacks nearly any technology. As Shin recovers from his injuries there, the island's peace is broken by a clash featuring the U.N.'s latest aircraft—the VF-0.
