Synopsis

Etopirika: Omoi wo Tsumugu Tori is an animated work built from the accounts of those who once lived on the Northern Territories islands. The goal is to help many people—especially the younger generation—understand the events that took place in the Northern Territories at the close of the war, as well as the painful ordeal former island residents endured when they were compelled to abandon their homeland. The production aims to generate support for the return of the Northern Territories.
