Kazuma Satou, a high school student and shut-in, meets a ridiculous end on his way home from purchasing a new video game. He awakens before Aqua, a stunning yet incredibly annoying goddess, who offers him a choice: move on to the afterlife or be reincarnated into the ultimate fantasy realm. Opting for a fresh start, Kazuma is immediately assigned the mission to defeat the menacing Demon King. Before departing, he may select one item to accompany him, and he foolishly chooses Aqua herself. However, this proves to be a catastrophic error, as she is utterly incompetent. The pair soon discovers that reality in this world is nothing like the video games they know. After his death, Kazuma Satou had two options: move on to heaven or be resurrected in a fantasy world. Their token spellcaster, Megumin, is an explosion magic specialist capable of casting only one spell per day and refuses to learn anything else. There is also their stalwart crusader, Lalatina Ford "Darkness" Dustiness, a helpless masochist who makes Kazuma look pure by comparison. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 continues to follow Kazuma and the rest of his party through countless further adventures as they struggle to earn money and deal with one another's problematic personalities. However, things rarely go as planned, and they are often sidetracked by their own idiotic tendencies.

A conflict over the seven mystical Dragon Balls, magical artifacts capable of granting any desire, is about to erupt. Only the strongest will endure.

Gokuu Son is a young boy living alone in the woods—until a girl named Bulma stumbles upon him while searching for a set of magical objects known as the "Dragon Balls." However, not everything is fun and games; the ability to make any wish come true is a powerful one, and there are others who would do far worse than just wishing for a boyfriend. To stop those who would misuse the legendary power, they train to become stronger fighters, using their newfound strength to help the people they encounter along the way.

However, they soon come to realize that the nonsense threat they received might have been more than just a joke.
