Synopsis
In Westland, New York, during the 21st century, a murderer is using a sharp knife to kill people indiscriminately. A girl witnesses one of these killings, and the knife is then aimed at her as she trembles in fear. Meg returns to this town with Joe to celebrate the "birthday" of Shirley, who once lived with Meg. Since they were orphans, they decided the day they first met would be Shirley's birthday. In the past, before meeting Joe, Meg had cared for three young children, including Shirley. Those children were later adopted by a police officer named Sam, who has a strong sense of justice and is supposed to be living happily with them now. Meg and Joe happen to help someone and receive a reward. They use the money to buy a present for Shirley and go to meet Sam. However, they notice he is acting strangely. When they question him, Sam explains that Shirley was attacked by a murderer and seriously injured. Joe tells the grieving and angry Meg, "Let's get revenge on the murderer for Shirley." But the murderer gradually approaches them from behind. Cruel black eyes fall on Meg and Joe. To make matters worse, a dark plot casts its shadow over Meg, Joe, Sam, and the entire town.
