Synopsis
Azuru Isshiki's short animation An Instant strips the art of animation down to bare essentials: images painted on paper. The piece starts and ends with a tiny dot, and between those points, Isshiki investigates the full range of expression achievable with just simple animation tools. Only black and red paint on assorted paper types are used. Dots, lines, and spirals dance across the screen, alongside a cheerful female figure.
