Synopsis
Isak Borg, the First Secretary at the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang, stands out with his towering height, blonde hair, and blue eyes. As a diplomat under constant surveillance, he is strictly prohibited from interacting with locals. Despite this, he maintains a clandestine relationship with Bok-joo, a local traffic officer. Upon having his request to extend his assignment denied, Isak desperately asks Bok-joo to join him in Stockholm. She declines and suddenly disappears. Ignorant of the danger he's putting her in, Isak seeks help from his appointed interpreter, Myeong-jun. When Myeong-jun refuses, Isak becomes increasingly paranoid and distrustful of those around him.
