Synopsis
Five years ago, the Global Synchronic Urban Disappearance made a large section of Ikebukuro vanish in a single night. After this disaster, the area fell into chaos, and strange electromagnetic disturbances known as "Auroras" began appearing. High school student Seria Morino is amazed after watching a performance by idol Izumi Hinazaki. The play uses the "Super Material Theater," a stage that employs holograms to revitalize Ikebukuro, and Seria decides she wants to become an idol. Soon after, a young woman named Kaoru Sakakibara recruits her—the same Kaoru who now directs Alice in Theater, the troupe Izumi used to belong to. Determined to follow her dreams, Seria agrees and joins Alice in Theater. At their base, she is warmly greeted by a group of friendly, passionate girls. Yet despite the welcoming atmosphere, something feels off.
Background
Gekidol's first episode was aired along with Alice in Deadly School on January 4, 2021 as part of a New Year's special. The series was broadcasted from January 5, 2021 to March 23, 2021. A Blu-ray Box containing all 12 episodes was released on March 3, 2021.
