Goblin and "Yuki Usagi" (Snow Hare)

Synopsis

One winter evening, a goblin father returned home and gave his son a red handball that he had found outside the residence of a girl named Yuki. Upset by this discovery, the boy decided to give it back. The next day, he went out into the snowy landscape, eventually arriving at a village where joyful children were singing. Reaching a modest house, he saw a lone girl sitting on the porch. She introduced herself, saying, "I'm Yuki. What's your name?" Without answering, he handed her the ball. Delighted, she exclaimed, "This is exactly what I lost! My sick mother made it for me. Thank you!" Feeling comfortable, the boy ended up becoming friends with her.

The film was awarded the second prize for the "Animated Short Film or Video Over 15 Minutes" at the CICFF12 Awards (1995 Chicago International Children's Film Festival).
