Anime Like Battle Spirits: Brave

Deep within the earth lies a vast chasm known as the Abyss, teeming with strange creatures and ancient relics from ages long gone. Its origins and what exists at its deepest point remain unsolved mysteries that countless explorers, called Divers, have risked their lives to uncover by descending into its darkest reaches. The most skilled and courageous Divers—the White Whistles—are celebrated as legends among those who stay above. Riko, the daughter of the missing White Whistle Lyza the Annihilator, dreams of following in her mother's footsteps and exploring the Abyss's farthest depths. However, she is only a novice Red Whistle, permitted to venture no further than the uppermost layer. One day, she stumbles upon a mysterious robot who looks like an ordinary boy. She names him Reg, and he has no memory of what happened before his discovery. Convinced that the technology behind Reg must originate from deep within the Abyss, the two decide to journey into the chasm—Reg to recover his lost memories, and Riko to see the bottom of the great pit with her own eyes. Yet they remain unaware of the cruel truths awaiting them in the Abyss's true reality.

Having survived the brutal trials of Idofront, Riko now holds a White Whistle, granting her passage into the Abyss's sixth layer—the Capital of the Unreturned. Together with Reg and Nanachi, Riko begins exploring this uncharted territory, where the ruins of the promised Golden City lie. As the trio adjusts to the harsh surroundings, they soon encounter dangerous creatures and treacherous terrain. Their journey leads them to a village inhabited by strange beings called "hollows." Despite the unsettling atmosphere that greets them, the three press onward to uncover the secrets of the settlement and the forgotten legacies of adventurers who once descended into the unexplored Abyss's horrors.

Having bonded through shared grief, the weary Nanachi accompanies Riko and Reg as they venture deeper into the Abyss. They face the Sea of Corpses, the fifth layer and the deepest point from which one can return without losing their humanity. Standing in their way is the masked sadist Bondrewd, whose gruesome laboratory acts as a final barrier for those seeking to go further. The sociopathic scientist intends to exact a heavy toll from Riko’s group. Haunted by Bondrewd’s past cruelty, Nanachi struggles with intense inner turmoil upon his reappearance. The group discovers that Bondrewd’s sole vulnerability is Prushka, an impulsive girl who claims to be his daughter. Riko, Reg, and Nanachi befriend Prushka and collaborate with her to thwart her father’s schemes and reach the sixth layer of the Abyss.

Shiki has spent his entire life surrounded by machines. At Granbell Kingdom, a deserted amusement park that hasn't seen visitors in a century, he is the only human. Everything changes when Rebecca Bluegarden and her cat companion Happy show up, hoping to film content for their B-Cube channel. Instead, they befriend the socially awkward Shiki. When Granbell becomes too hazardous for the trio, they embark on a journey across the Sakura Cosmos. Their goals include creating more exciting videos and searching for the legendary goddess Mother, while Shiki—inspired by his late grandfather's words—seeks to make more friends. The path won't be easy, since no one has ever encountered Mother, but Shiki is determined to reach his objective and explore the vast reaches of space alongside his newfound companions.

The authorities blame the spread of mushroom spores for this grim new reality, pointing to Bisco Akaboshi, whom they call the "Man-Eating Mushroom," as the culprit. A young woman who has just completed her education returns to her hometown and is appointed an official United Nations arbitrator. Her job is to act as a bridge between humans and fairies, convincing both sides that peaceful coexistence is possible. She expects the role to be straightforward, but reining in the disasters caused by the oblivious fairies as they chase after candy proves far more challenging than she ever anticipated.

Goku looks into the devastation of the Southern Galaxy, while Vegeta is brought to rule as King of the New Planet Vegeta and tasked with eliminating the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly.

Following a janitor's mistake, an oblivious custodian is turned into Janemba, a pudgy, yellow demon causing chaos in the afterlife. Since his heroic death in the battle against Cell, Gokuu Son has been competing in martial arts tournaments for the dead. Janemba's disturbances soon draw Gokuu and fellow fighter Pikkon toward him, forcing them to find a way to defeat the massive monster. After a clash with him, Gokuu sees Janemba transform again: the demon sheds his fat and shifts color, becoming a sword-wielding enemy more formidable than any Gokuu has encountered before. With help from his similarly deceased rival Vegeta, Gokuu must stop the terrifying Janemba from tearing apart the very fabric of the universe.

This film compiles episodes nine through thirteen of the 2017 television series. Riko and Reg descend into the third layer, where Riko experiences the Curse for the first time. They continue down to the fourth layer, where an Orbed Piercer injures Riko's arm, prompting Reg to attempt a rescue. Nanachi arrives to help, saving Riko's poisoned arm. In exchange, Nanachi asks Reg to kill her immortal companion, Mitty. Following this, Nanachi joins Riko and Reg on their journey to reach the bottom of the Abyss.

Gokuu Son and his companions are enjoying a camping trip when three unknown foes launch a surprise attack. After a brief skirmish, a fourth enemy named Cooler appears. Seeking vengeance for his younger brother Frieza's defeat, Cooler targets Gokuu, but Gokuu manages to flee with Gohan Son and goes into hiding. Frustrated and enraged by this outcome, Cooler and his troops start searching for Gokuu's whereabouts, determined to kill him and fulfill their revenge plot.

This film compiles episodes one through eight of the 2017 television series, incorporating new scenes for the opening. It follows Riko as she descends into the Abyss alongside her robotic companion, Reg, and chronicles their journey to the second layer, where they encounter the White Whistle Ozen. Ozen then discloses information regarding Riko's mother.

Shuuzou "Shuu" Matsutani leads a typical, peaceful life. He has friends, a crush on a girl, and a dedication to kendo. After feeling down about losing to his kendo rival, Shuu climbs a smokestack to watch the sunset and meets Lala-Ru, a quiet girl with blue hair who wears an unusual pendant. Shuu tries to befriend her, even though she gives only uninterested, bland replies. His hopes are dashed when a woman, accompanied by two serpentine machines, appears out of thin air with the sole purpose of capturing Lala-Ru. Stubborn as he is, Shuu attempts to rescue his new acquaintance from her kidnappers and is transported to a desert world unlike anything he has ever known. Despite the circumstances, Shuu focuses only on saving Lala-Ru until he is severely beaten by soldiers. He soon learns that Lala-Ru can control water, and her pendant is the source of this ability—a precious resource in his new, arid surroundings. But now the pendant is missing, and Shuu is the main suspect. Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku is a haunting tale of a dystopian world, following Shuu as he endures torture, hunger, and the horrors of war to save the lonely girl he found sitting on a smokestack.

Sentan Island is a small landmass in the Yuden Sea, existing in a dreamlike calm while cut off from the conflict between the Northern Government and the Southern Continent Free Zone. The protagonist, Akiyuki Takehara, lives there with his mother Fusa. He is currently separated from his father, the town doctor Ryuzo, but the bond between father and son remains strong. One day, after bringing Ryuzo the lunch Fusa prepared as usual, Akiyuki arrives at school, where he and his friends Haru and Furuichi are caught in an explosion. The blast produces a mysterious light that enters Akiyuki's arm, causing him excruciating pain. Before he can understand what's happening, the white-haired girl who rode the bus with him guides him to a power unlike anything he has ever known.

A mysterious object crash-lands on Earth, sparking a wildfire near the campsite of Gohan Son, Kuririn, Bulma, and Oolong. Unable to completely save the forest, they decide to use the Dragon Balls to restore it to its former state. Several days later, a group of unknown warriors plants a seed at the crash site, which sprouts into a colossal tree that destroys the forest and nearby cities in the process. North Kaio contacts Gokuu Son and reveals that this tree is the "Shinseiju"—a tree that drains all nutrients from the planet, leaving it a barren wasteland, while growing a powerful fruit that grants immense strength to anyone who eats it. Upon learning this, Gokuu and his friends attempt to destroy the tree before it is too late, but this proves far more challenging than they had anticipated.

The Z Fighters come across a music box that cannot be opened and are instructed to use the Dragon Balls to unlock it. Inside, they find a warrior named Tapion, who had sealed himself away together with a monster known as Hildegarn. Now, Goku must master a new technique in order to vanquish the wicked creature.

A strange entity called the "Big Gete Star" attaches itself to the planet New Namek to drain its energy, placing all Namekians in serious peril. Dende, now Earth's guardian, learns of the crisis on his homeworld and urgently requests help from Gokuu Son and his companions. When they arrive on New Namek, they find the Namekians imprisoned by powerful robots, and their leader is revealed to be Cooler. He explains that the Big Gete Star's advanced technology saved him from certain death. With his mechanical forces, Cooler attacks Gokuu and his friends, aiming to eliminate them permanently.

Dr. Gero's creations, Androids #13, #14, and #15, are activated by the lab's computers and make their way to the shopping mall where Goku is buying things. Goku and his allies must take them down.

While training on a barren cliff, Piccolo is attacked and defeated by a group of unknown enemies. Those same foes then head to Mount Paozu to steal the Dragon Ball belonging to Gohan Son. Upon arriving, they not only overpower Chi-Chi and Gyumao—Gokuu Son's wife and father-in-law—but also kidnap Gohan. Sensing something is wrong, Gokuu rushes home and finds Chi-Chi on the ground, explaining what happened. He then goes to Kame House to borrow the Dragon Radar, using it to locate the Dragon Balls and, through them, the enemies and Gohan.

Mr. Money organizes another Tenka'ichi Budokai, and Mr. Satan extends an invitation for everyone worldwide to participate. Unbeknownst to him, Bojack, an ancient villain who has broken free from his imprisonment, is among the competitors. With Goku still deceased, the responsibility falls on Gohan, Vegeta, and Trunks to take down Bojack and his henchmen.

Gohan Son and Piccolo are enjoying a peaceful moment when they sense a powerful force heading toward Earth. Word quickly spreads that this force is actually a small planet on a direct collision course with Earth. Gokuu Son and Kuririn try to alter the small planet's trajectory with a Kamehameha, but the attack fails and the two warriors are blasted away. However, just as it comes extremely close to Earth's surface, the object changes course on its own and soon explodes. The small planet turns out to be a vessel for what appears to be a castle. A massive army emerges from the structure and declares that the planet now belongs to Slug, king of the universe. While defending the city from the invaders' assault, Gohan loses his Dragon Ball, allowing Slug to seize it. After reading Bulma's mind and stealing her Dragon Radar, Slug orders his army to collect the wish-granting relics. With the Dragon Balls in his possession, he uses them to wish back his youth. Now young, wise, and extremely powerful, Slug begins his conquest of the world.

At Jump Festa 2012, held in December 2011, a special feature was presented. Bardock, the father of Goku, who was believed to have perished when Freeza's attack struck him along with Planet Vegeta, was hurled far back in time to a world populated by bizarre beings. There, he encounters Chilled, a space pirate and ancestor of Freeza, and battles him to safeguard the planet.

The high-tech city of LaRousse is an impressive destination—and an equally impressive arena for Pokémon battles! Satoshi heads straight for its famous Battle Tower, but things go poorly when his battling partner turns out to be a frightened boy named Tooi. Due to a traumatic childhood encounter, Tooi is terrified of all Pokémon—even friendly ones like Pikachu! There's even more to fear when Deoxys appears and takes control of the city, disabling its systems and holding everyone hostage. The Legendary Rayquaza is not pleased, and it will stop at nothing to drive this intruder from its domain. Meanwhile, Satoshi, Tooi, and their friends may be caught in the middle, but they are far from finished fighting!
