Synopsis
In the Kingdom of Wenias, Sable attends the Royal Magic Academy with the lowest grades in the entire school. Remembering nothing of his past, he accepts a special assignment from Headmaster Albus: traveling to the southern regions. Accompanying him are Roux Cristasse—the Dawn Witch—Holt, a girl with antlers growing from her head, and Kudd, a lizard-like Beastfallen. Their goal is to establish a new village for witches in an area where hostility toward them still runs strong. Along the way, the four must stay clear of former members of the Dia Ignis Arbiters, ruthless witch hunters who killed many witches and ordinary people. Even though their order was dissolved and pardoned after the war between the Church and witches, these individuals still roam free, determined to capture any mage they encounter. Roux possesses the Staff of Ludens, known as the "witch-eater," while Sable holds an endless wellspring of magical power. These advantages may be essential to completing Albus's objective. If they fail, Sable stands to lose all memory of magic and the academy—leaving him without a sense of direction or any way back to the silver-haired mage who once saved him.
