Synopsis
In the first episode, "When the Buckwheat Flowers Bloom," Heo Saeng-won, an experienced market peddler from Bongpyeong village, finishes a long day at the marketplace. Heo Saeng-won joins fellow peddler Jo Seon-dal at an inn, where they meet a young traveling vendor named Dong-i. As they travel together under the moonlight through fields of blooming buckwheat flowers, Heo Saeng-won finds an unexpected bond with Dong-i. The second episode, "Spring Spring," focuses on a servant who labors endlessly in the fields for a master who has promised the servant his daughter's hand in marriage as compensation. Despite the servant's hard work, the master keeps postponing the wedding, claiming his daughter is still too young and not fully developed. Eventually, the servant's growing anger leads to a final, decisive confrontation with the master. In the third episode, "A Lucky Day," Kim, a rickshaw driver, ignores his wife's serious illness and goes out to work on the streets once more. That day, he gets an unusually large number of passengers, which fills him with a creeping worry about the real reason behind his sudden good fortune. When the exhausting day ends, Kim returns home with a deep sense of dread.
