Synopsis
During the Western Han dynasty (206 BC–9 AD), a wave of supernatural disasters triggered by occult forces swept across the world. The mysterious Chinese bamboo-bound book, Huainanzi, was torn apart and scattered across different eras in history. The fragments transformed into various objects, waiting to be found again. A hundred years later, a young man named Hong Lie takes on the mission to recover the missing pieces of the ancient bamboo book. With the help of Ba Gong and his friends, and by passing through the Gate of 24 Solar Terms, Hong Lie travels across dynasties in search of the lost fragments. On his journey, Hong Lie and his loyal companions, Ji Ming and Gou Tiao, experience the grandeur of ancient legends, appreciate the wisdom of ancestors from the Chun Qiu Period, and witness all manner of strange events among ordinary people. Warmth and coldness, sadness and happiness, separation and reunion—these stories lead him into the vast world within the book Huainanzi. Through thrilling adventures, he also makes lifelong friends. In this unique way, Hong Lie communicates with his ancestors and begins to understand the principles of the world, realizing that following the laws of nature and living in harmony with the environment is the right path. What starts as a simple collection quest gradually becomes a challenging journey to fulfill his family's mission and inherit the spirit of his forebears.
