Synopsis
"Futsuu tte Nandarou?" is an NHK documentary series that focuses on people living with developmental disorders. The series includes two-minute animated vignettes based on real stories, in which the subjects recount their personal experiences. Throughout their upbringing, these individuals found it difficult to understand their own circumstances, as did their teachers. Each animated segment, produced by a different artist, aims to illustrate what is considered normal for these individuals and how they eventually find their place in society. These animations were created to support NHK’s campaign for raising awareness about the documentary series. Later, the animated clips were made available for streaming on NHK’s official website and its YouTube channel.
