Synopsis
E-Rantel, the capital of the newly formed Sorcerer Kingdom, is experiencing a severe scarcity of supplies. Once a thriving trade hub, the city now struggles due to its residents' wariness—and even dread—of their ruler, Ainz Ooal Gown. Seeking to remedy this, Ainz dispatches Albedo as a diplomatic representative to the city. At the same time, the Slane Theocracy's cardinals convene to plan a counterstrike against Ainz after his assault decimated the Re-Estize Kingdom's military, scheming to have the Baharuth Empire annex the Sorcerer Kingdom. Yet when Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix arranges a rendezvous with the Theocracy's envoys in a colosseum, he finds himself face-to-face with Ainz himself. With their covert meeting exposed, the emperor and his guests learn that Ainz has issued a challenge to the Warrior King, the empire's most formidable combatant, to a duel. Unable to fathom Ainz's motives, Jircniv can only stand by as the course of humanity transforms right in front of him.
