Synopsis
In-hye and Sun-mi return to their quiet countryside hometown after a long absence, only to be greeted by shocking news: their old friend Eun-sil died during childbirth. The village is in turmoil over the abandoned baby, whose father is unknown, left neglected and unprotected. With the help of Ji-young, a friend who stayed in town, In-hye and Sun-mi try to save the infant. As they dig deeper, they discover that Eun-sil, who was mentally retarded, had been used as a plaything by the villagers. Overwhelmed by anger toward the villagers and guilt over their own past neglect of Eun-sil, In-hye and Sun-mi struggle with their conscience. Though they abandoned Eun-sil before, can they now protect her baby to the very end?
