Synopsis
In the 2020s, with electric cars dominating everyday transportation, interest in traditional combustion engine vehicles is kept alive through a motorsport competition called the MFG. Hundreds of ambitious drivers, watched by a staggering 30 million online viewers, fiercely battle for a spot among the Godly Fifteen—the top 15 racers—and a chance at the 100 million yen grand prize. Among those aiming for the top is 19-year-old Kanata Rivington. After graduating from a prestigious racing school in England, Kanata sets his sights on the upcoming MFG tournament and enters the competition under the alias "Kanata Katagiri." Compared to his rivals' flashy cars, Kanata's Toyota 86 GT—inherited from a former MFG competitor—puts him at a significant disadvantage. He receives guidance from a Godly Fifteen member, but he still views the MFG as merely a stepping stone toward his true goal: finding his estranged father. Meanwhile, Kanata's presence causes a stir, as his driving style bears an uncanny resemblance to that of a once-legendary racer.
