Synopsis
Water serves as the central motif in Aihara's early experimental short Karma (1977). The hand-drawn film appears to have been shot on 16mm with a blue filter. Initially, tiny specks are visible onscreen, appearing and disappearing like snow flurries. These specks gradually enlarge into bubble shapes, then grow further into rivulets of water on a transparent surface.
