Monkey Magic / Adventure in Journey to the West

Synopsis

In the realm of Toy World, Sun Wuyuan, a mere stationery object, is branded defective by its inhabitants. Feeling insulted, Wuyuan sets out to find the Golden Staff to prove their worth as the Monkey King. Discovering that the Crossing Hall is the portal to the West, Wuyuan secretly enters the hall one night and begins their western adventure. They meet Sun Wukong at Mount Huaguo and accepts Wukong's training regimen with the promise of receiving the Golden Staff upon completion. Later, influenced by the anthropomorphic Bull Demon King, Wuyuan suspects Wukong of deception and, while Wukong sleeps, steals the Golden Cudgel. The Bull Demon King subsequently acquires the Golden Staff and conquers Toy World. To reclaim their world and save Wukong, Wuyuan teams up with their companion Qiqi to return to the West and confront the Bull Demon King. Ultimately, they defeat the Bull Demon King, and Wukong consents to lend the Golden Staff to Wuyuan for one day.
