Synopsis
In a different version of 2023, the Your Forma—a revolutionary "smart thread" technology originally created to combat a massive viral encephalitis outbreak—has become essential to everyday life. However, these convenient devices have a hidden cost: they capture every image, sound, and even emotion their users experience. For electronic investigator Echika Hieda, exploring people's memories through the Your Forma to gather evidence for solving the most challenging crimes is routine. The issue is that she is so proficient at her job that her partners' brains literally overheat trying to match her pace. After sending too many assistants to the hospital, the higher-ups finally provide Echika with a partner of equal capability: a highly intelligent but impudent android named Harold Lucraft. Can this mismatched pair overcome their mutual distrust and stop a dangerous technological plague from spreading globally before time runs out?
