Synopsis
Ren Mihashi served as his middle school baseball team's ace, but his poor pitching meant they could never secure a victory. A string of losses led to bullying from his teammates, who eventually stopped trying to win altogether, leaving Mihashi to graduate with severely low self-esteem. Determined to leave that behind, he chooses a high school in a different prefecture, planning to avoid baseball entirely. However, upon arriving at Nishiura High, he is forcibly recruited into the new team as their starting pitcher. Though initially reluctant, Mihashi begins to see that here, he can be accepted for who he truly is. With support from catcher Takaya Abe, he gradually gains confidence in his own skills. Recognizing Mihashi's potential, Abe sets his sights on helping him develop into a pitcher worthy of the title "ace."
