Synopsis
Uiba Shikatani, whose father runs a pet shop, is devastated when some reptile eggs fail to hatch. To lift her spirits, her father brings home a large, striped egg that he hopes will hatch. It does, unexpectedly producing a green dinosaur that they name Muka-Muka, after the only sounds the baby reptile can make. Muka-Muka quickly becomes a local sensation and catches the attention of the town's professor, who has a series of bizarre inventions. One such invention is a time machine that successfully transports the Shikatani family, along with other families and their homes, to a prehistoric era. There, they encounter various dinosaurs and magical beings during their adventures.
