Synopsis
A mix-up in the afterlife leads the principal of Lilliard Music School to discover his soul has been claimed by both Heaven and Hell. Unwilling to leave until he saves his school from a corrupt new chairman, he makes a pact: he will give his soul to whichever side—Angels or Demons—helps him win back the institution through their idol activities. The narrative follows three humans, three angels, and three demons as they undergo rigorous training to become top-tier idols on Earth.
Background
Angel ScandyS was the final project of legendary director Noboru Ishiguro (Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Macross), produced by his studio, Artland. The pilot episode had its world premiere at Otakon 2011 in Baltimore. However, following Ishiguro's death in March 2012 and Artland's subsequent financial struggles, the project was never expanded into a full TV series. It is currently considered unreleased media.
