Synopsis
Kanae Otowa has been living in her family's ancestral mansion, Otowakan, ever since her father drained the last of the family savings and ran away. With no means to settle his debts, the mansion is being seized, forcing Kanae to evict the current residents—her friend Sousuke Kagura, along with two peculiar individuals who claim to be her father's acquaintances: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. Having somehow returned from the dead, Mozart and Beethoven now go by "Motes" and "Beethes," respectively, and have taken to wasting their time on absurd, non-musical activities. Despite stubbornly refusing to leave Otowakan, Beethes unleashes the concealed power of Musik, saving the mansion from destruction and postponing his removal. This revelation draws other Musik users to Otowakan, among them Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Franz Schubert. But not all wielders of Musik harbor innocent intentions. Across the city, the enigmatic Johann Sebastian Bach sits atop a towering building, scheming how to employ his own Musik.
