Synopsis

In a distant, unknown era where the world is drained of all color, appearing bleak and barren, every person is born with skin as pale as snow. No trace of any hue exists anywhere. Yet one boy is born with a yellowish complexion. Regarded as a freak by everyone, he is forced to live in isolation with his mother in the forest. On his sixteenth birthday, his mother, overwhelmed by the loneliness and despair, takes her own life. Consumed by guilt, the boy blames himself for her death and longs to become a normal person with pale skin. Awarded the Grand Prize at the 18th Holland Animation Film Festival.
