Synopsis
A disorienting sequence of reproduced imagery from magazines and posters featuring sunny beaches and bikini models is set to psychedelic and sometimes sinister music by Shinpei Kikuchi. Tanaami created positive and negative reprographic prints of these images on transparent cel sheets, stacked them, and twisted them in various directions to produce a moiré effect. In discussing the piece, Tanaami noted that his paradise exists solely within the realm of reproduction.
