Synopsis
Kajika Louisa Kugami Burnsworth is the sole daughter of Harry Burnsworth, a powerful and respected industrialist capable of swaying the world. When Kajika was merely two years old, an assassination attempt on her life resulted in her mother’s death as she shielded her child. Following this tragedy, Harry sent his only daughter to the remote island of Giviolle, where she was raised by a native woman named Maria. During her time on the island, Kajika’s companions included a white leopard called Mustafa and a boy named Li Ren Fang, who visited her two or three times annually. Now fourteen, Kajika returns to her father’s side, only to be informed that she must participate in a game to select her future husband. Harry ensures Kajika’s willing involvement by explaining that she must confront the harsh realities of her destiny alongside the man she chooses. She must identify and choose among three candidates personally selected by Harry, a task made difficult by her lack of information. She knows only that each candidate possesses irresistible brilliance and charm, and notably, the men themselves are unaware they are the suitors. Furthermore, Kajika must choose carefully, as her partner must willingly accept her as his bride. Hanasakeru Seishonen explores themes of endearing love, intense passion, noble friendship, unwavering loyalty, family dynamics, and political intrigue. The weight of Kajika’s fate is genuine, the threat to her life remains constant, and the selection process is far more than a simple game. Harry seeks a suitable protector for his daughter before anyone uncovers a deep secret about Kajika—one that even she does not know.
