Synopsis
During a peasant revolt at the close of the Tang Dynasty, two enslaved foreigners were forced to serve as human shields by local warlords. They managed to survive, only to be pursued afterward by the same peasant rebels. In a world of turmoil and disorder, where is there a place to call home?
