Synopsis
Amidst the clamor of his classroom, fifteen-year-old Aia Udagawa is distracted from the lesson at hand. His peers nominate him as a model for the Aoi Festival Artist Contest, citing his previous experience in front of the camera, yet Udagawa’s attention is fixed on Jun Sumisaki. This tall, socially awkward girl appears deeply self-conscious about her distinctive freckles and striking stature. Although they are assigned to work together as model and stylist, Udagawa feels a sense of loss over his abandoned ambition to become a makeup artist. He has long persuaded himself that he lacks any real talent, while Sumisaki struggles with the confidence required to embrace her remarkable looks. Despite these insecurities, Sumisaki suggests a reversal of roles: she will grant Udagawa complete creative liberty, and she will confidently walk the runway, drawing on the lessons her mother once taught her. With prominent figures from the glamour world in attendance, this opportunity might provide the necessary momentum for Udagawa to re-enter the fashion and beauty industry and succeed alongside his chosen model.
