Synopsis
A 2009 Korean animated series based on the legendary Joseon-era masked vigilante Iljimae, who robs corrupt officials to help the poor. Born to a noble father and an enslaved mother, then abandoned as an infant, the protagonist returns to Korea in search of his family; after the wrongful execution of his first love, Dal-yi, he becomes the solitary, masked hero Iljimae, until a woman named Wol-hee draws him back into the world.
